I quickly came up with an idea of ​​what I wanted to say.
I wanted to show how a person feels in a foreign country, where everyone speaks a foreign language easily and simply. How often he feels lost and alien. How often his appearance does not convey how he feels inside.
How sometimes he looks rude simply because he did not understand something or said something differently than the locals.

But there were huge difficulties in finding a suitable picture. I looked for puzzle pieces, then people in a crowd, then just sketches of people and their thoughts.
Eventually I found this picture, and for me it is very telling in itself.
But not for others.
And I thought for a long time about what I could add here.
And finally I remembered that in English there are about 80 ways to ask the simplest question HOW ARE YOU?
And I remembered how many times I was ready for this question myself, but they asked it to me in a slightly different way and I was stunned.
And then you think, maybe it’s easier to always walk around with headphones?
Or pretend that you’re very busy?
And so you stand there and there’s water in your ears and you can’t answer either.
